An SCA Graduate demonstrates:
- Spiritual Growth and Development
Artifacts must include:
- A booklet of at least four different prayers and a reflection on the importance of prayer in your daily life
- 4 tenets of the Catholic Faith – a picture collage of all four
- An essay on the importance of participating in the Sunday mass
Commentary:
Why are these artifacts important to you? Why is this outcome important for the holistic development of a student?
- Academic Excellence
Artifacts must include:
- Essay on topic assigned by the Religion teacher
- Copy of best graded work in Math, English, and Literature
- Copy of report cards and award cards for 3rd and 4th form
Commentary:
What do the artifacts tell you abut your academic accomplishments and growth?
- Compassion and Service
Artifacts must include:
- An essay on the Catholic Social Teachings – what are the teachings and your view on each?
- A compilation of two reflection papers on activities done in work service while at SCA
- A paper describing your involvement in school and community, including but not limited to club participation
- Resume
Commentary:
How do the artifacts/activities demonstrate that you are a visionary and caring leader?
- World Vision and Responsibility
Artifacts must include:
- Essay on C.S.M.E – what it is and its expected impact on you and your country
- List the Millennium Development goals. Select two (2) and explain possible steps you can take to help in the struggle to achieve these.
Commentary:
Reflection on your role as a global citizen
- Concern for Women and Women Issues
Artifacts must include:
- Biography of a Belizean woman you admire. Explain why you admire this person.
- Choose an issue that negatively affects Belizean women. Reflect on what national policies can be implemented to bring about positive changes.
- Reflect on the impact Catherine McAuley and/or the Sisters of Mercy have had on your life.
- Portfolio will be presented individually by students to a panel of homeroom and religion teachers or other invited guests.
